TiPS Alcohol Certification Class 12.12.23

TIPS is the premium alcohol server and seller program designed to teach participants to
prevent intoxication, drunk driving, and underage drinking among the people to whom
they sell or serve alcohol.

TIPS training covers several key areas:  

• Alcohol-related laws and regulations: Participants learn about the specific laws and regulations governing alcohol service in their jurisdiction.  
• Recognizing signs of intoxication: Participants are taught how to identify the physical and behavioral cues that indicate a person is becoming intoxicated.  
• Preventing alcohol misuse: Participants are trained in how to intervene effectively and professionally to prevent alcohol-related problems, such as drunk driving, underage drinking, and over-service.  
• Handling demanding situations: Participants are given tips and techniques on how to deal with angry, violent, or disruptive customers, as well as how to refuse service or cut off someone who has had too much to drink.  

This TIPS classroom course is led by a certified trainer who will provide hands-on instruction and feedback.  You will also receive a Participant’s Book.
